Ten Million Colors

Selecting the correct color scheme can be overwhelming.  Have you ever been so sure about the paint colors you picked only to be disappointed with the finished project? It could be the lighting, the flooring, your existing furnishings, or even the ceiling height that creates the disharmony.  Color Theory teaches us how colors interact with each other and the factors that influence them.  Creating a color scheme goes beyond science, it is the art of evoking a feeling.  Color can calm us, inspire us, or even make us anxious.  Color is personal so you need to think about how a color has made you feel in the past before introducing it into your design.  Contrasting color schemes can be jarring to some and energizing to others.  Make sure you sample the paint on the multiple walls with natural and artificial lighting. Color isn't just about the paint it includes your finishes and furnishings, so include those in your sampling.
